Nursing a headache caused by the heavy defeat to Aston Villa, Wolves found the perfect pick-me-up in Reading.

A few jitters started to spread after Saturday night’s 4-1 loss down the road in Birmingham but back at Molineux after three games away, the Championship leaders enjoyed a stress-free victory.

It was only a second win in six games but re-opened a 10-point gap to third with Villa’s surprising loss at home to Queens Park Rangers.
